We counter every symbol with a symbol of our own: pregnant women, laughing children, devoted Torah scholars. This week we welcomed a granddaughter, finding hope in her bright face, rejoiced at her insistent cry to suckle and survive.
Steven Sher
Brooklyn-born Steven Sher has lived in Jerusalem since 2012. He has taught, edited, and published widely since the 1970s. His fifteen books include Uncharted Waters (New Feral Press, 2017). His work has appeared recently in Veils, Halos & Shackles; Mizmor Anthology; and New Voices. In 2018, he received the Glenna Luschei Distinguished Poet Award.
