Laura Hamel is a mother, sister, daughter, horticulturist, and poet. Her work braids together ecopoetics, ethnobotany, and personal identity. Originally from north central Massachusetts, Laura now resides in Oklahoma City, where she recently completed her BA in Creative Writing at the University of Central Oklahoma.
