Diane Melby was recognized for literary excellence in the Jeffrey Hewitt Memorial 2023-24 Annual Contests sponsored by the Poetry Society of Virginia. Her poetry has appeared in Gyroscope, Anthology of Appalachian Writers, and Plate of Pandemic, as well as in other print and online publications.
