Abiu Daniel Benavides is a contemporary surrealist painter who immigrated to the United States at three years of age. At age five, he was diagnosed with fibrous dysplasia, along with other ailments, which caused him to be in a constant state of recovery. His goal is to produce work which captures images that people from all backgrounds can identify with.
