Thimble Editorial Board

In addition to a volunteer staff, we also have an Editorial Board.

What does an editorial board member do?

First, board members advise the editor in chief on the performance and direction of the magazine. Besides providing feedback on past issues, they might approach potential contributors, provide second opinions on submissions, and identify readings, conferences, and other events that other members of Thimble leadership should attend.

Second, board members support Thimble’s mission. To further this goal, board members will be invited to join committees to take leadership roles on new projects.

Finally, editorial board members act as ambassadors for the journal by introducing the magazine to authors, readers, and subscribers and encouraging colleagues to submit their best work.

We chose the following because they been supporters of our endeavors—even when we were so small that we fit inside a thimble.

She is the author of Porous Land, The Eden of Perhaps, and A Coracle for Dreams (Spartan Press). Most recently, she has been collaborating with eight other poets on the book Wild Muse: Ozarks Nature Poetry (Cornerpost Press, 2022.) Court Hoang is an indie/folk/rock artist and composer, incorporating his background in choirs, a cappella groups and beatboxing into his music. His work has been featured in the Dallas Observer, Fort Worth Weekly, and Central Track. The songs are intended to bring connection to people who have forgotten (however briefly) that they are not alone; to remind them that their suffering, while unique to them, is also universal. His music is available on all digital platforms and at courthoang.com.

Paul Koniecki lives and writes poetry in Dallas, Texas. His poems appear in the movie One of the Rough, he was a featured poet at the Blackwater International Poetry Festival in Ireland, and he co-facilitates the literary-revolution series Meet Me With Curiosity. His poetry is available through Kleft Jaw Press, NightBallet Press, CWP Collective Press, and Spartan Press.

Sean Enfield is a writer from the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. He is an editor for Spiderweb Salon; his writing has been featured on National Public Radio’s All Things Considered; and his work has been published in Tahoma Literary ReviewLunch Ticket, and F(r)iction Online, among others. Although he has dabbled in a number of genres, he was once chastised for failing to introduce himself as a poet. He has not made that mistake since. His work can be found at seanenfield.com.
