in
the sun
thirsting
for more than
just water
or coolness
craving the shade
of your being
wishing to be
no more than that
corn, rice, plums, grapes, figs
many thousands more
forests, rivers, lakes
a luscious terrain
sweet and succulent
together we are one
as we have always been
can it be otherwise?
I need you to be you
yet I need even more
mutual infusion
do what is necessary
safeguard all your miracles
protect your precious assets
be in awe of the awesome
longing for simplicity
promise me everlasting
then, I will thirst no longer
